I almost forgot - Talan decided....at the very last minute....that he was going to play baseball this year. He took last year off and is excited to get back into it. I personally was looking forward to the "summer off" but I'm sure it will be fun! Good luck T!

BaBy FeVeR

On January 22 I told you about a new baby on the way....her name is Addison Brooke but they call her Addie. Well - I had the honor of loving on this little baby Friday night and she is just amazing!! She is so sweet and content and BEAUTIFUL!!

Then, on Saturday, we were helping Josh's cousin move and they had friends over with a little angel, Riley. I also had the honor of loving on this little princess.

So now I have to admit I HAVE BABY FEVER! I have been thinking about it for quite some time now and it only got worse this weekend. I kept asking Josh if he saw how good I looked with a baby! (a little girl, no less) haha

Now anyone who knows me knows that baby fever is something I have never been able to relate to so I'm alittle confused by this new emotion.

Everyone pray with me.......this too shall pass! :)

**Much love to all**

Jesus Is My Valentine

I am a Christian. I love Jesus and I am super grateful for all the blessings in my life - that I do not deserve, might I add! He has been forever good to me, never leaving my side!

I have 4 favorite t-shirts....I am wearing one of them right now! Anyway.....one of them has the phrase "Jesus is my homeboy" on it. I think it's cute but more than that, I believe it....He is my homeboy ~ He's my friend! He's always there. He doesn't talk behind my back. When I can't sleep, He listens to me! And even though I'm a horrible example of a follower and I fail daily, He loves me unconditionally! Even when I fall - He reaches down to pick me up, the list goes on and on. What a friend! What a "homeboy"! And today, not only is Jesus my homeboy, JESUS IS MY VALENTINE!

He gives much better gifts than roses and candy. Those things are nice - don't get me wrong - but His gifts are stuff like peace that passes all understanding...and grace beyond measure...and love when we don't deserve it...and joy that comes when it seems impossible.

I just wanted to give my Savior some props! :)
Thank you Jesus for being my Valentine......and my everything else!!

Is He your Valentine too?!?

Hobby

Per dictionary.com the definition of hobby is an activity or interest pursued for pleasure or relaxation and not as a main occupation.
I have been researching my ancestry for almost a year now and have JUST realized it's a hobby! I am enjoying myself more than I could ever have imagined! I have made trips out of town and am planning more.
I can go back to the 1800's on my dad's side. It is on my dad's mothers side that I have been totally fascinated - in my searching I have found two great-great uncles that killed people. While this is not something to be proud of you have to admit that it's interesting. I feel like I know these men personally through all the info I have collected.
One is my Uncle Riley. (I do refer to the people in my past as if they were alive during my lifetime - ex: "Uncle" Riley) Riley Herrington shot his wife and a man he believed to be her lover with a gun he purchased on the way home that very day.....talk about premeditation! The lover, Charles Howze, was in some way or another, related to Riley's wife - but he believed them to be in a relationship.
Uncle Will (John William) had a bit of a different situation with the crime he committed. Apparently he had been drinking and had a woman in the car with him that wasn't his wife. He hit and killed a man while driving drunk. The young lady in the car with him begged him to stop but he would not. They were both charged and convicted for the murder of James M. Cofer several days later.
These crimes were commited in the 1920's in Macon, GA.

I have been in contact with some distanct cousins and am looking forward to sharing info. As of right now, I have more info to offer than to receive from these contacts but I am hoping for photos! I have only one photo of my great-grandfather, Jesse James Herrington - and that is the only photo I have of the entire Herrington family! I have a long way to go.......
